I am hastily planning my own wedding for this August. One of the projects I whipped together pretty quickly was a way for guests at the Bridal Shower and Wedding to know a little more about how "He Did It!", as the story hasn't been spread around too much. I also am using "The Proposal" as part of a game at the shower, so I needed a neat way to tie the clues into the Shower.
My Fiancee popped the question by sending me on a "scavenger hunt" throughout the county, stopping me at various locations that held significant meaning to the both of us - leaving clues along the way at each location for the site of the next clue. I typed up those hand-written clues (didnt want to use the originals), and made this display for the Shower, the Wedding, and for hanging at home afterwards.
Here were the steps to making this 100% DIY proposal:

Coffee Cozies!
I started making my own version of coffee cozies for up to grande sized cups. Some have conchos to give it a more western feel, others' cowgirl personality comes out in the fabric, charms, or lacing. Pick your favorite!

New Wood Creations for Decor
I have always enjoyed painting and I love the rustic simple look of wood pieces in the home. However, it isnt a huge seller for the business so I tend to focus more on the jewelry end of things.
But, as some may know, I have sort of made it a tradition when friends and family get married that their gift from me is some sort of variation on a lasso wreath/welcome sign. I've made four so far but only attained three photos. Newest being at the end.
Featuring a real 18" elk antler shed, and a hand-cut elk from a piece of rustic metal. Love it!

Aside from the new wedding gift welcome sign, this season I was commissioned for a welcome sign that wasnt a wreath. Here is what I came up with, and the recipient completely loved it!

Rustic Longhorn Green Necklace Set
I am in love with this new set. Its the first time I have made a complete pre-made three piece set. I really love it and am having a hard time listing it, I might end up keeping it if it doesnt sell soon!
This three-piece set is absolutely beautiful, photos really dont do the colors justice. A rustic longhorn pendant is attached to a beaded strand of green ovals with visual texture, spaced with green pearl beads and sparkling beads that really pick up the green and brown tones. I attached a doubled-over thin copper chain designed to lay however it falls. Matching bracelet and earrings are included in this set.
